Film Scenes and Clips
EMI (2008)
Have fun with the Making of EMI!
Woodstock Villa (2008)
Sanju rocks in his item number "Kyun".
Super Star (2008)
Sanju's loving guest appearance as himself - a senior superstar gives a piece of wise advice to a young colleague. Plus a jadoo ki jhappi.
Dus Kahaniyaan (2007)
The title song with scenes from the various short films.
Dhamaal (2007)
Don't leave the cinema before the end credits are over!!
Lage Raho Munnabhai (2006)
Sanju in the role of his life: All the world loves Munnabhai! Just look at "Lage Raho Munnabhai", "Samjho Ho Hi Gaya" and "Pal Pal Har Pal".
Here is the Making of LRM - with reminiscences to Munnabhai MBBS.
Vaah - Life Ho Toh Aisi! (2005)
In "Teri Yaad Yaad" Yamraj, the God of the Dead, transforms into a sweet little devil...
Ek Ajnabee (2005)
Sanju does the gangster rap "They don't know" during the end credits.
Parineeta (2005)
Sanjus first entry as Girish Babu (God, these eyes!!!), his trip to Moulin Rouge and his Bengali dance.
Shabd (2005)
Have a look on Sanju's tattoos and... well, some other things, too... ("Lo Shuru Ab").
Musafir (2004)
Billa's "Saaki Saaki" - hot, cool and razor-sharp! And listen to Sanju's "wicked" singing in "Tez Dhaar".
Deewaar (2004)
"Marhaba" - 'Allah's Pride' with his hand in flames...
(Here you can watch two Deewaar trailers.)
Plan (2004)
In "Pyaar Aaya" Sanju radiates his charisma, in "Aim Kaim" he calls the tune. Verbatim.
Munnabhai M.B.B.S. (2003)
Sanju for the first time in the role which made him immortal: as the loveable Munnabhai charming the world ("Chann Chann").
Kaante (2002)
One of the hottest item numbers ever: "Ishq Samunder". And here you can hear Sanju singing ("Rama Re"). Let's make a Tribute to Ajju - one of Sanju's coolest performances ever.
Annarth (2002)
A trip to Iqbal Danger's "Bewafa Bar".
Hathyar (2002)
"Chahatha Tumhe" - gosh Sanju's looking so great!
Hum Kisise Kum Nahin (2002)
Wanna have a look on Sanju swinging his hips? And have fun with "Munna Mobile".
Pitaah (2002)
"Rama Bachaye" - a family (still) happily united and celebrating...
Kurukshetra (2000)
"Aap Ka Ana" - who wouldn't love him? Even though we now know that it's him who makes the glaciers melt ("Jaana Tere Liye")...
Mission Kashmir (2000)
Sanju's "sorry" to his wife and his crucial fight with Hrithik. Wish I knew what he was feeling when he remembered the riots after the destroyal of the Babri mosque...
Jung (2000)
Sanju's performance in this film is mindblowing (not to mention his workout). Even in the clips like "Ya Ila Re" he is wonderful. Too bad he didn't make the film perfect by dubbing it himself.
Chal Mere Bhai (2000)
Wish I could dance with Sanju through the park only once ("Muhje Ishq Hone Laga Hai")! Wish I had him as an elder brother too ("Chal Mere Bhai")! *sigh*
Khauff (2000)
"O Gori Gori" - Sanju "as hot as a latin lover on someone else's wedding night" (Stardust).
Khoobsurat (1999)
"Aye Shivani" was one of the first film songs Sanju sang himself. In "Ghash Khake" he shows his rock star qualities. And when you watch "Bohath Khoobsurat Ho" mind the hat!
Vaastav (1999)
Raghubhai's famous "chain and pistol scene" - often imitated, though inimitable. Raghubhai in action. His honeymoon in Switzerland ("Meri Duniya Hai"). And impressions from the time where the sun still shone for him... ("Har Taraf Hai" and "Chota Kad").
Haseena Maan Jaayegi (1999)
Have fun with the film's title song. (By the way: great bike, Sanju!)
Safari (1999)
African Queen and Crocodile Dundee Romancing The Stone: A hilarious film with the wonderful rain dance "Aalaa Re Paoos Aalaa", the charming "Yeh Safari" and the beautiful "Tumse Mohabbat".
Kartoos (1999)
Sanju in the almost surreal clip "Beliyan" and in the very real "Wallhaa Yeh Ladki".
Daag (1999)
Even elite soldiers can dance: Sanju in "Lucky Kabootar".
Dushman (1998)
Sanju's touching interpretation of the blind major Suraj Singh who ("Pyaar Ko Ho Jaane Do") dreams of love... well, sometimes he just lets it all hang out ("Tuna Tuna").
Daud (1997)
"Yeh Jaan Le Le Re" - dancing sex. "Zahreela Zahreela Pyar" - dancing animality. Want some more? Here you are: "Tum Mein Hai Dum", "Shabba Shabba", "O Bhanware"...
Mahaanta (1997)
"Lo Jee Suno Main Tumse" - oh yes, Sanju and Madhuri were one of the most beautiful screen couples ever.
Andolan (1995)
A typical example for the action hero à la Sanju at that time: trousers pointing out his long legs, (blood-stained) undershirt, long mane, scowl and always in for revenge...
At the same time, he's such a charming guy!! ("Nazar Mein Tu" and "Dil Toh Khoya Hai")
Amaanat (1994)
One of Sanju's most positive film characters ever - and in hardly any film he danced as much and as well as here. Have a look at "Money Money", "Ho Jaye Wah", "Din Mein Kehti Hai" and "Is Duniya Mein Jo Bhi Hota Hai".
Aatish (1994)
"Kaash Tum Mujhse" - a world just caved in...
Zamane Se Kya Darna (1994)
"Aankhon Se" - who wouldn't fight with all means for the love of this lion king...
Meri Aan (1993)
Sanju in the qawali "Sanju Hai Naam Mera", a guest appearance as himself. (One of my all-time favourites.)
Gumrah (1993)
Sanju as loveable stalker - who could say no to him! Who wouldn't want him as "aashiq"? Especially when he is ready to suffer everything for the woman he loves ("Duniya Kismat Aur Duniya").
Kshatriya (1993)
"Main Khichi Chali Aaye" - Sanju on the run in London...
KhalNayak (1993)
Ballu's very own version of "Choli Ke Peeche". And the title song "Nayak Nahin Khalnayak Hoon Main" (okay, I won't comment the costume).
Sahibaan (1993)
Sanju as prince with addiction to alcohol, snakes and beautiful women looks simply smashing in his silk gowns - he really can leave the dancing to others as he makes an impact even by just watching them...
Yalgaar (1992)
Sanju's rain dance "Aakhir Tumhe Aana Hai" - both wet and hot.
Sahebzaade (1992)
Sanju as a swinging snowman in "Mera Long Kho Gaya" who in "Mausam Suhana" brims over with love and happiness. (In "Tutak Tutak Tutiyaan", on the other hand, he's definitely lovelorn.)
Jeena Marna Tere Sang (1992)
Sanju fights for his love ("Chaha Hai Tujhe Chahenge" and "To Ne Zamane Yeh Kya Kar Diya")
Saajan (1991)
One of Sanju's most beautiful films ever: Be it "Mera Dil Phi Kitna Pagal Hai" or Sanju's anger with God, it's intense, sensible and soulful.
Khoon Ka Karz (1991)
Oh my God, is it allowed to look so damn good?
Do Matwale (1991)
Is there anyone alleging that Sanju doesn't know how to swing his hips?
Fateh (1991)
The clip where Sanju kills me everytime I watch it: "Tere Siva Mere Siva" - please keep your heart medicine ready. Nor quite so deadly are "Koi Laila Hameh Bhi", "Makhna Chakhna", "Tera Mera Mera Tera" and "Jaam Hai Shaam Hai" (although IMHO Sanju boozed up isn't less attractive than Sanju working out *g*).
Sadak (1991)
One of Sanju's most lively dances: "Rehne Ko Ghar Nahin".
Thanedaar (1990)
Who says that Sanju cannot dance? "Tamma Tamma" is cult. And in the hilarious "Jab Se Hue Hai Shaadi" he shows his comedy skills - and his emotions in "Jeena Hai To".
Khatarnaak (1990)
"Chori Chori Aaya Tu" - just look into Sanju's predatory eyes!
Do Qaidi (1989)
For you who love Sanju either in the rain or in colourful Indian garments.
Hum Bhi Insaan Hain (1989)
Sanju sweet ("Jab Ladka Sharmayega") and wet ("Baadal Hai").
Kanoon Apna Apna (1989)
Dancing is fun if you've got the right partner: be it "Chini Mini Ay Ai Yo", "Gaye Gaye Main To Gayee" or "Pehli Nazar Mein".
Kabzaa (1988)
Don't be mistaken: "Tumse Mile Bina Chain Nahi Aata" is NOT a car ad. ;)
Mardon Wali Baat (1988)
The quarrel of lovers is the renewal of love.
Jeete Hain Shaan Se (1988)
For the first time Sanju, Mithun and Govinda met in front of the camera. Their song starts after about four minutes.
Khatron Ke Khiladi (1988)
Here, Sanju still was the shy young lover dancing amidst flowers... ("Hum Dono Mein Kuchh Na Kuchh Hai")
Imaandaar (1987)
In "Aur Is Dil Mein Kya Rakha Hai" Sanju sings out his (love-)woes to his beloved who let him down.
Inaam Dus Hazaar (1987)
"Chand Koi Hoga Tumse Kaha" and "Jane Bhi To Yaar" - naughty Sanju teasing his girl...
Naam (1986)
"The song 'Chitthi aayee hai' by Pankaj Udhas still makes my eyes moist" Sanju said in 2005 about this scene in the hit movie which marked his comeback after his drug rehabilitation. Well, my eyes get moist when I watch "Tu Kal Chala Jayega".
Mera Haque (1986)
For once, Sanju is not the leo but the aquarius.
Do Dilon Ki Dastan (1985)
One example from Sanjus early lover boy years ("One Two Three") - but in "Humrahi Mere Humrahi" he also shows his intense emotionality. And yes, it's this woman he loves in this movie even though this clip suggests something else. And as a little bonus, enjoy the bath tube scene. :)
Jaan Ki Baazi (1985)
Sanju jumps from skyscrapers, celebrates, loves and boozes in the rain - he's a bundle of life and energy!
Mera Faisla (1984)
"Sanjana" in pink - "I'm so small and he's so big"...
Bekaraar (1983)
One of Sanju's very early movies which he, as he confessed in KWK 2007, would like to forget completely. Well, IMHO there are worse films in Sanju's filmography; Bekaraar at least has an unusual and interesting story. Anyway, I simply cannot ignore the title song, and be it just because of Sanju's outfit from the third minute on (Sorry, Sanju, you know I love you...*g*). And the train scene as it makes me cry every time.
Rocky (1981)
Sanju in his debut film and in a "run-of-the-mill role" (verbatim quote by Sanjay Dutt *g*): "Doston Ko Salam" was his entry on the silver screen; he loved ("Kya Yehi Pyar Hai"), laughed ("Hum Tumse Mile"), jumped ("Aao Mere Yaaron Aao") and danced ("Aah Deke Zara" - Sanju goes John Travolta *g*) - everything capable of development. Including the physique. ;)
Reshma Aur Shera (1971)
Sanju's first appearance in a film as a 12-year-old qawali singer in "Mudad hui the yaar". So sweet. :)
